Searchin’ for the Sand

[This is a sound off written about the first half of the first trimester of the 2006-2007 school year.] 

Today is the last day of the first half of the first trimester and even better, we have off on Monday. My mid-tri comments should be pretty good in every class but Spanish. Spanish 3 this year is the hardest, worst, and most annoying class I’ve ever had and it’s really getting to me. A good day of school can just be ruined by even a 40 minute block of Spanish. For example: Yesterday I had a good day. I went to the Darfur presentation at Haverford, and did well on a history test. Then block 8, the last block of the day, was of course Spanish, and it completly killed me good mood and ruined my day. In this class, I sort of like the poetry unit. I think I’m going to have to work real hard to get everything done and done well. I’m learning things about poetry that I never knew before, so it’s alright I guess. The worst is when it’s a real bad poem because it is just boring. We have a soccer game against Episcopal today and I hope this game doesn’t get canceled like last game. I don’t think it will because if it rains a lot and we can’t play at E.A., we are going to play on the turf field at St. Joes.
