Welcome to the 2008-09 School Year!

The library staff is excited for you to see the new look to both the Trask Lower School Library and the Gummere Library, which serves the middle and upper school students.

In the Trask Library, we moved our book and magazine collections to make it easier to find your way around the library and to make more room for display of new materials.

The Gummere Library has a new glass room which will serve two purposes. It will be a place where classes can come to do library research with less distractions. When the room is not being used for library instruction and research, it will be the guaranteed quiet place where students and faculty can work in the library.

Stop by soon and let us know what you think of these library improvements and check out our books and magazines while you are here.

Middle School students can also check this blog to see what the book club is reading next. We welcome suggestions here at the blog as to good books for our book club.

Summer News

Lower School families can see the Summer 2008 reading lists on this page. We have also been busy "moving" books in the Trask Library so students can find things more easily now. Let us know what you think when you return to school. The Gummere Library is also being updated, with a brand new glass-enclosed room that will serve as a library classroom and when not used by classes, as a silent study space. We look forward to hearing what you think about these changes.

Lower School Students and Parents:  Please check out the "Pages" in the frame to the right. You will find a list of recommended books for each grade level (K-4) sorted by weekly themes. Students will regonize these books from the "Try Me" Shelf in their weekly library classes. If you have any questions, please feel free to stop by the Trask Lower School Library. Enjoy!
