About Me
My name is Lindi Rruka and I am a junior at William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia. This is my first year in Philadelphia, after having spent the bulk of my childhood in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and in Pittsburgh, Pa. I play soccer, swimming, and lacrosse for my school. My favorite sport would have to be lacrosse, and my least favorite swimming (staring at a black line for two and a half hours isn’t what I consider to be fun). I have been a math and science oriented student since I can remember, but I’ve grown to like English the most. What appeals to me is that it is not as confined as the math and sciences, and it allows you to explore topics beyond the curriculem. However, I also enjoy solving extensive math problems. Any free time I have I usually spend outside, either tossing a ball around for fun or playing to win. I enjoy classic rock the most, but listen to anything that’s on the radio. My favorite singers/bands are Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, ACDC, Wyclef Jean, Tom Petty, Steve Miller Band, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, to name a few. My favortie movie of all time is hands down Boondock Saints. I’ve watched it so many times I have nearly all the lines memorized (nerdy I know), but I just love that movie. My dream is to fly the F/a-22 jet–the latest fighter jet from the Air Force. I’ve loved everything about flying since I was little, and hopefully one day will realize my dream through R.O.T.C in college.
